DevOps Engineer:
Location: Onsite in Columbia/Hanover, Maryland and remote opportunities available, as well.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet our customers’ needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, build and maintain a stable and efficient infrastructure to optimize service delivery across production, QA, and development environments throughout the development lifecycle
- Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve building, packaging, and deployment processes
- Implement automated infrastructure capabilities like backups, security tools, and monitoring
- Utilize a consistent DevOps approach to improve all phases of the process and ensure end-to-end quality across functions
- Knowledge of deployment/configuration management tools like Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, or Ansible
- Utilizes version control tools like GIT, Bitbucket, SVN, or CVS
- Experience with network infrastructure, database, cloud and data center operations, and security protocols
- Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows OS. Understand AWS and other services
- Experience with programming and scripting with languages like Python, Perl, Bash, PHP, Java, SQL, or C++
Qualifications
What You’ll Need
- U.S. Citizenship
- Secret Clearance
- 4-7 years of directly related experience in network infrastructure, database, cloud environments
- Experience with the Linux/UNIX operating system
- Sound programming knowledge in Python and Java
- Familiarity with DevOps methodology and tools, such as Puppet, Chef, Git, Docker
- Clear understanding of APIs and web services
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- Must have one or more of the following certifications:
- Cloud+, Security+, Network+, or CCNA
What Will Set You Apart
- Have a strong understanding of common system architecture, provisioning, and administration
- Experience with the traditional developer toolsets and practices such as using source control, giving and receiving code reviews, writing unit tests, and familiarity with agile principles
- Familiarity with AWS and Azure cloud environments
- Experience with full cycle hardware/software development projects
